Native French teacher with 10 years experience online and many more on one to one classes, I know that the key of success for learning a language is the quality of the relationship between the student and the tutor. I am from the south-west of France.. I really like my native language and I am deeply interested in the history of France, its literature, culture, cuisine...and I am also very international as I lived abroad many years, and enjoyed it so much ! Hi everyone! My name is Sebastien. I'm a certified French teacher. I am originally from France, but in 2014 I decided to move to Colombia where I currently live and work.  I hold the DAEFLE (Diploma in Teaching French as a Foreign Language). I have a good level of English and speak Spanish fluently. I consider myself a calm, patient, attentive and flexible person. I love to travel ! In an increasingly connected world, discovering new languages and new cultures are aspects that seem fundamental to me!

Concerning my professional experience, I worked in different language institutes from 2014 to 2020. Since 2020, I have been working as a private online FLE teacher. My methodology is based on COMMUNICATION and ACTION, and is oriented towards learning grammar, vocabulary and phonetics through authentic documents. Knowing how to conjugate the past tense is good! But knowing how to use it to tell a friend what you did last weekend is better! The objective of my courses is that you can communicate in real life situations through different comprehension and production activities (oral and written).

Hello, my name is Laura, I’m 30 and I come from Paris (France). 

I am passionate about travelling and culture. I have been working for 5 years for Paris Tourist Office and I know many aspects of our beautiful capital city. When I used to live in Paris, I loved to explore every corner of my favorite neighborhoods. Cooking is also one of my hobbies. French gastronomy abounds with delicious recipes that I love to reproduce. I would be pleased to share all of this with you through my French lessons.

I had the opportunity to support foreigners (from the USA, China, Mexico) in learning French when they were in France. They had different needs and objectives wether they were in France to study or to work. Hence, we worked on adapted topics such as grammatical rules, conjugation or how to express oneself orally for formal or informal conversations. 

For the first part of my higher education, I went to preparatory school in literature. It allowed me to get in-depth knowledge in French language, literature and history. Then I studied in an international context in which I got a Business and Entrepreneurship Bachelor and Marketing and Brand Management Master. Therefore, I am perfectly at ease to teach and offer adapted content depending on my students.

 I come from Nancy in the north-east of France. I lived one year in Spain and  I am living now in Dublin. 

 I studied Performing Art and film studies in France, Spain and in Ireland. I am passionate about travelling, discovering new cultures and art. I recently completed a diploma to teach French to foreigners (DAEFLE- Alliance Française de Paris). I am also an examiner and corrector for the DELF-DALF exam.

I started teaching French part-time 6 years ago when I moved to Dublin. I used to help Irish teenagers to prepare their French exams (Leaving Cert - Junior Cert) and students at the University (preparing oral exams, proof-reading essays).  I have been teaching French online since April 2020 and in person to adults and kids in some languages school since February 2021. 

I teach French to all levels (beginners to advanced) and all ages (kids, teenagers, adults). I can help you to improve your French skills (grammar, vocabulary, French culture, oral fluency) , to prepare your essays, oral presentation, job interview, Delf-Dalf exams  … With  children I usually use a power point to learn basics vocabulary and sentences, and make French games with them. 

I am flexible to your needs, level and way of learning. I use videos and articles based on your interests and encourage practising conversation. I also often relate the lessons to French culture as film, music, news , literature ... I can provide grammar lessons and exercises.

IMPORTANT : durant le cours, je corrige à l'oral tes erreurs et je t'envoie les corrections dans un document écrit après chaque cours. Je peux aussi te donner des devoirs si tu le souhaites.

A few years ago, when I was in bed at night and almost ready to sleep, I used to ask myself this question : "Why would people want to learn French? Are they crazy?"

Well... Are you? 

It definitely takes guts for someone to take the obscure path of French learning, especially when you know that almost no francophone can speak French perfectly. And it is this courageous desire detected in French learners that made me want to start teaching this language three years ago. In fact, besides the syntactic complexity of this language (which, by the way, is most likely to be a cliché), French is a very poetic language, as it allows countless accesses to figurative speeches (so if you tend to be a little sarcastic at times, this might be perfect for you). Plus, French is cool and sounds fancy too, so... 😗
